She too required four surgeries. Her chief surgeon, Mr Duncan Walker, of the now defunct Killingbeck Hospital in Leeds, asked me to allow an experimental 'zipper style' closure, in between her surgeries. It wasn't quite the same as Leon's, but very similar. It was a great success. How amazing that 25 years to day, that little Leon would come along with the same medical issue and in the same city. My daughter is now a happy, healthy 25 year old Chef in the USA.
